Julia Weder
Julia (they/she) is a settler on Haida Gwaii of Greek and Croatian ancestry, and is adopted into Skidegate Gidins / Naa ‘Yuuwans clan. She spent 3 years coordinating youth programming at Hiit'aGan.iina Kuuyas Naay (Skidegate Youth Centre) and supporting social justice action at GidGalang Kuuyas Naay Secondary School. She is the co-founder of the Haida Gwaii Media Collective.
Julia plays various instruments relatively poorly but with enthusiasm. They also enjoy making comics and doing graphic recording. They are currently completing a Master’s degree from the University of Victoria and focusing on settler responsibilities for decolonial action on Haida Gwaii.
