Stephen Hans
A locally known former MC of Skidegate, Haida Gwaii who inspired many to pick up a microphone and get their message out there. Recorded several rough mixtapes with original lyrics to well known instrumentals with friends. I eventually decided I wanted to make the instrumentals, because I knew what sound I preferred, after hearing from a colleague that it could be done on a simple pc with the proper program. I’ve been making beats electronic instrumentals since 2007. I went to music school (art institute of Vancouver) but could not create in that environment so I moved back to Haida Gwaii and went on to make almost 1000 beats to date.
